Welcome to Adel Primary School's website.
Adel Primary School is a purpose-built one form entry primary school, with an
educational nursery, situated within sight of the countryside on the edge of
a residential area of north west Leeds. The school offers a superb
educational environment with facilities that include a well-maintained
building, extensive, secure school grounds incorporating a nature
conservation area, sports field, playground, an extended hall and a computer
suite. The school is oversubscribed and enjoys an excellent reputation in the
local community.
We recognise the importance of the role of the school in the community in
creating a partnership between children, the parents, the staff and the
residents of Adel. We operate an 'open door' policy where parents feel
welcome to visit the school at any time. Visitors are able to look round the
school, see children at work and the facilities which are available. We
endeavour to provide a happy, caring and secure environment in which the
provision of a quality programme of educational experiences enables each
child to achieve his or her potential.
In 2007 the school received the prestigious full International School Award
and more recently has achieved National Healthy School status, Activemark,
Artsmark Gold and is also recognised as a Fairtrade School.
